Charles joined Goldman Sachs in 1984, and helped to build the private client services and his own team, becoming an executive director and managing in excess of $1 billion in worldwide assets for his clients.

David founded Thurleigh with Charles MacKinnon in 2003 using their vast experience in the industry. As a founding director, David headed up the Private Investors Group at Mercury Asset Management Group plc, which subsequently was taken over by Merrill Lynch. Following the takeover, he was responsible for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers’ private client investment management business globally.
